About this deal

If they have pinky tones, blue veins and cool eye colours like blue, gray or cool brown: they tend to suit cooler blondes, like ash, ice or platinum. They can pull off anything from pale Scandi-inspired shades to a brightening, expensive-looking beiges.

There is a dark blonde box of casting creme which in the pictures looks the same shade as my hair when it’s done by the hairdresser. I think light brown would be too dark and blonde would be too light so I think dark blonde might be the best one to go for as it looks most like it does usually. Think of toner as a topcoat to your pre-lightener. You can use it to personalise the shade of blonde, opting for a demi-permanent like Color Touch or permanent Koleston Perfect. Both offer up a whole host of luminous, light-reflective blondes, 4. Rinse and Repeat… in a Few Weeks It goes without saying that, to lighten brown hair, you need a good pre hair lightener. Award-winning Blondor is our go-to, with a selection of lifting products, from Blondor Freelights to Blondor Soft Blonde Cream. Apply to hair in the chosen technique and remove when you’ve achieved the right level of underlying pigment. 3. Apply a Toner If they have yellow or golden tones, green veins and warm eye colours like gold and hazel: warm blondes will be more their style. Think honey blonde, dark blonde, bronde… the list of rich, creamy colours goes on. 2. Consider Your Client’s Hair HistoryIt’s a good idea to speak to your client about their hair history. Have they coloured their hair before? What kind of colours have been used? These are both factors that affect the final outcome. A great way to predict the finished result is to do a strand test ahead of their main appointment. Simply take a strand of hair and apply your exact formulation to it, then use this as a guide. 3. Remind Them of the Time it Takes This one’s a given. When you’re helping your client choose their perfect shade of blonde, it’s important to take the undertones of their skin into account. There’s a type of blonde for everyone and finding their most flattering hue means – quite simply – identifying whether they are cool- or warm-toned. Sure, this isn't their foaming version (FYI, never trust the image on a box of foaming hair color. Hair color foam is never white) which is easier to apply evenly, but it does the job quite well, provided you follow the instructions. What's odd is that this dark brown shade looks purple coming out of the bottle and as you rinse it out, but it darkens to its "true color" by the time you're done. If you use Vaseline or cold cream, it shouldn't stain your skin too badly; I was able to get a few drips off with just some regular hand soap and water and a washcloth.

At the hairdressers they dye my hair a dark blonde colour, it’s semi permanent and gradually fades/washes/grows out. The roots at my parting are fairly white now but that’s usual as it’s not been done since the start of December. But I’m not going to make it until whenever I can next get to the hairdressers. How long in the salon? This one depends on how well the pre-lightener and toner takes to the hair, but clients should put a minimum of three hours aside for the transformation – often more. Make them aware of the time it takes when they’re booking their appointment, as it’s likely they’ll want to call off any other plans they have that day. But the thing I love the most about Nice 'N Easy was the way it left my hair feeling. The Colorseal conditioner is amazing! My hair is so soft and shiny now. It's the softest it has felt in months. In the past hair dyes have left my hair feeling dry and brittle, but not this product. My hair doesn't feel damaged at all from being color treated. Real talk: going from brown to blonde hair can be a lengthy, time-consuming process – not to mention the level of aftercare and touch-up appointments involved. When your client asks, ‘how long does it take to go from brown to blonde hair?’, these are the three essential timings they need to know… You wouldn't think there's much innovation to be had with hair dye, especially considering the end goal is pretty much the same for all products. Side benefits like making hair shiny, having the color last longer, and not causing one's head to itch like crazy or smell awful are all bonuses. That's why I like Nice 'n Easy: there's a great selection of colors that gets the job done, with minimal mess or fuss. The main thing I look for in a good hair dye is natural looking color that covers my grays. This product worked great. I love the way the color turned out. I choose one shade darker then my natural share of brown and it looks great. When I first rinsed my hair, after coloring it, I was a little nervous there was too much of a purple undertone but once it dried the color was perfect. My grays are gone and it looks so natural. I love that there are highlights and lowlights included. They multi toned color makes for a more natural look. The color lasts over a month for me, and it covers grays well. The real bonus with this particular brand and formula is the Deep Conditioning Gloss that comes with it--and it's also sold separately! It's easily the best conditioner I've ever used, and makes combing my hair post-shower a breeze.
