You slide it under the bike then use the long handle to pull the bike up onto the stand on its frame rails. Not a problem really, but when cleaning I like to get it set up and then not have to move it on and off its stand until I’ve finished. This is ideal for wheel and chain cleaning and maintenance, perfect for use in tight spaces, compact and lightweight, durable and very easy to use. I would recommend using a puc or block of wood to keep the bike more towards level as it can lean over on the sidestand. A squirt of penetrating fluid or light oil on the side of the bearings is helpful from time to time if coming into contact with water frequently.
On the ZX-6R, I have the puck under the side-stand when working on the rear, but I don’t bother when on the front as the bike seems to stand up a bit too vertical, making me nervous.
