About this deal

A clear theme in the series is how the female leads use men as coping mechanisms and jump between guys, which I know is because they’re being portrayed as real and flawed. However, now four books in, I’ve grown tired of the constant love triangles. I found myself feeling frustrated that Tiller and Daisy were drawn out for almost half of the book when that time could have been used on Daisy and Christian. But perhaps if Christian and Daisy's time wasn’t already limited because of Julian and Magnolia, it may have been less tiresome.

this was incredible. i laughed + cried (a lot, but that could just be because i was crying because i love them)

Multibuys

Christian’s life is no walk in the park either, since he’s in love with his best friend’s girlfriend, Magnolia Parks. i felt so conflicted on what to rate this book because i know if this was just a christiandaisy book i would be in love. but its not, so here we are 🫤 the problems in Daisy and Christian's relationship are always brought by other people. and by other people i mean Magnolia and Julian, AS USUAL. Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing', right? well, then why was she sidelined in her own book? oh, because we had to sit thru COUNTLESS and ENDLESS chapters of Julian and Magnolia having sex against every surface of The Compound. there is not two people i love more than daisy + christian (jessa quote on quote said i’m n1 daischris fan and i will be rinsing that)

Julian - sigh, just sigh. Julian and Christian switched personalities in this book, but instead of being a funny pathetic like Christian was, he's just a sad pathetic. Julian's character was done the biggest disservice in this book and it just wasn't believable at all. I don't understand how you can like Julian and like the direction his character has gone. Also, even though it‘s the same universe and they are completely present in each others lives I loved the different vibes in Magnolia‘s books and Daisy‘s first book. This felt just like another Magnolia Parks book.

“It’s the great undoing of my heart as I know it.”

And things don’t become any easier when she falls hard for the beautiful and emotionally unavailable Christian Hemmes, who also happens to be one of the few men in London who doesn’t answer to Julian. I like a lot what happens between Jud, Barnsey, Christian and Daisy, it was complex, heartbreaking and beautiful. I get that no one could’ve known how everything would unfold but there’s a reason for everyone warning parks to stay away from him, which she clearly dismissed and that’s on her. She was too stubborn and to her detriment. Christian… He‘s just amazing. He‘s such an interesting character and I wish we got to read more of and about him. Him and Daisy have my whole heart. They love each other so beautifully it broke my heart. We got so little of them I don’t even know what else to say. Their scenes were great and the way they talk about each other is just poetry.
